The Mental Health Court was the most recent court program to be launched in our community this year (2017). The specialized court focus is on those who are mentally ill and charged with felonies or misdemeanors in Rutherford County.

Another positive note is that the courts, the local probation office, the jail and the workhouse are all on the same page... to aid in recovery.

Elected judges oversee the Drug Court, DUI Court, Mental Health Court and the Veteran's Court in Rutherford County. Each court is focused on the title subject and the recovery or rehabilitation of the individual before the courts.
