The two day event attracts patrons from around the world to Murfreesboro, and spreads the love of authentic roots music in a unique way on two stages: Macon Manor Stage and the Dixie Dew Drop Stage.

The annual event fills local hotels, restaurants and more. Senior Vice President for the Rutherford County Chamber's Convention and Visitors Bureau Barbara Wolke said . . .

Wolke noted, "As a community, we are stronger with more arts, more history and more credibility."

With performances in the "Concerts After Dark" series:

• Friday, July 12th will feature Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Malpass Brothers, Po' Ramblin Boys, Jake Leg Stompers, The Two Trades, The Pilots, Mickey Harris Family, The Dave Adkins Band and Zac Top.

• Saturday, July 13th will feature The Issacs, Balsam Range with The Tennessee Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, David Adkins, Uncle Sheffelo and His Haint Hollow Hootenanny, Glade City Rounders, and The Cleverlys.

Other family-friendly events taking place throughout the festival village includes heritage activities for children, mouth-watering local concessions, a juried arts and crafts show in Matilda Macon's Artisan Village, Dave Macon's Marketplace, and a historic photo exhibit. With nearly 20,000 in attendance, roots music enthusiasts, looking for an authentic old-time experience will stroll through a reconstructed pioneer village with an ice-cold lemonade in hand while listening to the warm harmonies on the porches and pickin' under the trees near the banks of Town Creek in Cannonsburgh. Such a value for only $10 each day.

The celebration takes place in Cannonsburgh, a genuine pioneer village. Cannonsburgh Village is located at 312 South Front Street in Murfreesboro. The village is home to more than 20 restored log structures and will feature living history demonstrations during that weekend.
