Oakland High School will host a youth basketball camp June 19th through 21st at the school. The camp, which is being run by former player Chassion Allen, is a way for him to give back to the school. He told WGNS he wanted to use this time to come back and give kids in the area a chance to learn basketball fundamentals. Allen, who went on to compete at the college and professional level, says this is a skills camp. Things like ball handling, passing, shooting and defense will be taught. The camp is for ages 5 to 14. The fee for the camp is $55. For more information, call 498-6973.
