One of MTSU’s FIRST Honorary Doctoral Degrees Awarded Saturday Morning

Bart Gordon, a 1971 MTSU graduate who also served as student body president during his senior year, was honored Saturday morning during the morning spring commencement ceremony with one of MTSU’s first honorary doctoral degrees for his career of service to the community and nation.

Gordon, a Murfreesboro native who earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 1973, now is a partner with the law firm K&L Gates in Washington, D.C.
