Over $18,000 worth of audio equipment was stolen out of a car parked at Campus Crossing Apartments in Murfreesboro. The Honda Accord was in front of the "B Building" when the car was broken into.

The equipment did not belong to the owner of the car, but instead a rental company in Nashville called Studio Instrumental Rentals.

The victim who rented the equipment to use for a DJ job, told police the equipment was in his trunk. The unknown thief made his way into the car and then slid the equipment out of the trunk by pulling the back seat down.

Some of the audio equipment taken included two mixers, four large speakers and a digital turntable for scratching or mixing.

No arrests have been made in this recent auto burglary that totals over $18,000.
