Rockvale Falls in Shootout; All RuCo Scores

The Rockvale Rockets have their first EVER football game at the school, re-established this year after 47-years -- and it was a shootout with Franklin County. In the end, it was the visitors outlasting Rockvale 58-47.

With the Rebels leading 21-7, the Rocket's Lamarious Nelson returned a kickoff 96-yards for a score:

Nelson had four touchdowns on the night, including this run with 6:36 left in the game to give Rockvale their only lead of the game at 47-45:

Franklin County would go on to score twice more for the final margin of victory.

Senior Darrylin Council had a great night running the ball, carrying it 15 times for 176 yards and two touchdowns.

An electric crowd painted a sea of blue and white in Rockvale, which paid tribute to their past. Some members of the Class of 1972 were honorary captains. That was the last class to graduate the school before it was converted to an elementary campus.

Rockvale looks for their first win of the season at Warren County next Friday night.
