Saturday Morning Fire at Chariot Pointe Apartments

(MURFREESBORO) Around 6:10 Saturday morning, Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue responded to an apartment fire on Chariot Pointe, 1710 East Northfield Boulevard.

Upon arrival Ladder 8 advised heavy smoke coming from the second floor window.

Crews made entry and got a quick knockdown and was able to contain the fire to one room.


Captain Crick said "Crews acted quickly and were able to contain the fire to the room of origin."

Battalion Chiefs on scene commended crews for job well done.


All occupants were evacuated safely. Adjoining apartments were checked for smoke and were all clear.

The Heart of Tennessee Red Cross was notified to assist the tenant in the apartment.

Fire Marshal's Office was contacted and will conduct a routine investigation.
