Smyrna celebrated homecoming, their 100th anniversary as a school and an upset win over Riverdale. The final score was 27-17 in favor of the Bulldogs.

Riverdale jumped on top early with a 22-yard field goal by Caleb Moore to take a 3-0 lead. It looked like that was going to be the score at halftime, until Smyrna's Mikel Hartfield got them on the board with 35-seconds left in the half:

The score remained 6-3 until Hartfield, in wildcat formation, found junior Josh Jones on a screen pass with 4:35 left in the third:

The Warriors would score over three-minutes later to make it 13-10 Smyrna behind the running of senior Drew Smith:

Smyrna would score two fourth quarter touchdowns to put the game away, beginning with a 69-yard pass from freshman quarterback Landon Miller to senior Tyler Langston:

That gave the Bulldogs a 10-point lead and five minutes later, senior Zereoue Johnson's one yard plunge would be enough. Riverdale sophomore quarterback Jameson Holcomb did find Drew Smith in the end zone on a four yard pass with 19-seconds left for the final score.

Riverdale had 394-yards of total offense. 241 rushing, 153 passing. Smyrna had 182 in the air, 143 on the ground for 325 yards.

Quarterback Miller was 7-of-10 passing for 151-yards and a touchdown pass for the Bulldogs while the Warrior's Smith ran for 213 yards on 21-carries. He had one rushing touchdown and caught another.

Riverdale jumps back into region play hosting Rockvale next Friday while Smyrna hosts McGavock.
