Teen Enters Olympia Place Home Sunday Afternoon And Fires Shots!

(MURFREESBORO) Around 4:12 Sunday (3/31/2019) Murfreesboro Police Officers rushed to the 2000 block of Olympia Place in reference to a subject entering a home through a window, firing shots and then fleeing the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals that a resident inside the home was awakened by a noise. After getting out of bed to check the noise, he saw a male juvenile standing outside his bedroom. The juvenile allegedly fired three shots and then climbed out of the same window.

Officers recovered a cell phone and a handgun at the scene.

The juvenile was later seen riding a bicycle near S. Rutherford Boulevard and Broad Street. He was taken in custody. Juvenile petitions have been obtained and the suspect was known by the victims. No one was injured during the incident.

Since this case involves a juvenile, NewsRadio WGNS is not releasing any names. The incident is under investigation and juvenile authorities are also involved.
