The first statewide poll for Class 6A football has three Murfreesboro teams in the top ten.
The Oakland Patriots, the defending 6A state champs, top the poll, with all but four first place votes. They're followed by Maryville, Whitehaven and Ravenwood.
Blackman was ranked by state sports writers fifth in the poll. Riverdale was ranked ninth.
No other teams from Rutherford County were ranked, although Middle Tennessee Christian received votes in the Division II-A poll.
