Three Cold Cases in Smyrna Continue to be in the minds of family

On January 18, 1985, the Smyrna Police Department received a call at 104 Rebel Rd in Smyrna. Officers headed to the address and found the residence to be burglarized and Elizabeth Shannon was killed from a gunshot wound. Ms. Shannon was visiting the home and was from Scotland. The police department continues to follow leads that date back some 34 years. The Smyrna Police ask that anyone having any information is asked to contact the Smyrna Police Department Detective Robert Monroe at 615-267-5455.

Another cold case the Smyrna Police Department is working on dates back to February 22, 1988. 31 Years ago at 6 in the morning, Robert "Bobby" Allen (28 years old), was found shot several times at 251 N. Lowry Street. There were no witnesses to the case, as far as detectives know at this point. Another case that is more recent continues to receive attention. The case is from August 7, 2014. In that situation, Danny Wright was shot and killed at 109 Kings Road in Smyrna. This year marks the five year anniversary of this incident and the Smyrna Police Department is still looking for leads.
