(MURFREESBORO) A routine traffic stop on the MTSU campus Wednesday (1/2/2019) evening lead to a drug arrest and 14 pounds of marijuana confiscated.
MTSU is still on winter break, so it was not difficult to notice a vehicle driving across campus in the dark without their headlights turned on.
A Twitter report from MTSU Police notes that Officer Katelynn Adams pulled the vehicle over. Once talking with the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was noticed. That is when a search of the vehicle was made and the marijuana was found.
The driver and passenger were taken into custody and booked at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
