Murfreesboro police say the 20-year old man shot to death on Tuesday (5/23/2017) has been identified as Jaylin Juan Pritchard from Memphis. He is the third person killed over the past 19-days at student apartments around MTSU.

Sergeant Kyle Evans told NewsRadio WGNS, "Pritchard is not a resident of Murfreesboro and had traveled here with a friend the day of the homicide (5/23/2017) to conduct business of an unknown nature. It is believed he was shot while in a vehicle parked in the parking lot near the 1000 building at University Ridge Apartments (2707 S. Rutherford Boulevard)."

The Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating this and anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP(7867).
