A man convicted of lewd acts on a child in the 1990's has been re-arrested after he was caught walking the track inside the Patterson Park Community Center in Murfreesboro. The arrest of Horace Wilson took place this past week when police were called to the center on Mercury Boulevard.

The 50-year old sex offender is on the state registry due to having a sexual conviction for his involvement with an 8-year old child.

Police wrote in their report that numerous children were present when Wilson was seen at the community center. They also wrote, "Mr. Wilson was previously aware that he was not allowed on this property due to having signed the Sex Offender Registry conditions."

Wilson was charged with "Violation of the Sex Offender Registry." He is currently jailed at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro. He is scheduled to be in court on February 9, 2016.
