Murfreesboro, TN - Main Street Murfreesboro invites the community to our free, Friday Night Live concert on the west side of the Historic Downtown Square, August 7.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by Third Party Thieves (cover photo above), one of Middle Tennessee's favorite Southern & Classic Rock party bands, who will entertain the crowd with an energetic mix of dance favorites, classic hits, and contemporary music until 9:30 p.m.
"Main Street Murfreesboro was so disappointed to cancel the July 3 Friday Night Live concert due to lightning and rainstorms throughout the evening. Our America 250th celebration was planned for that evening’s concert, featuring the local band Entice. We plan to bring them back in 2027! Unfortunately, Main Street is unable to reschedule the concert for a later date in 2026.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy dinner at one of downtown's locally owned restaurants and shop with local merchants before the concert begins. The Boro Art Crawl will be set up on sidewalks around the Public Square.
Event attendees should bring lawn chairs for seating. Plenty of free parking is available in the County and City's two downtown parking garages and in public parking lots surrounding the square.
To accommodate the event, the Murfreesboro Public Square will close to vehicle traffic beginning at 5:00 p.m. Drivers are asked to remove all vehicles from the square before the closure begins. Streets will not be open until 9:30 pm. The concert stage will be situated on the West side of the Historic Rutherford County Courthouse, with seating allowed along Maple and West Main Street, as well as around the courthouse.
Friday Night Live is free and open to the public.
