The person charged in the fatal shooting of a 14-year old at a Smyrna graduation party will face a jury of his peers in the New Year.  On Friday (8/12/2011) Rutherford County Circuit Court Judge David Bragg set Chris “Gong” Nachampasak's trial date for January 30, 2012.  

Nachampasak was arrested by police in Prior Lake, Minnnesota three months after Appolo Middle School student Rachan “Micky” Chatree died from a gunshot wound from a stray bullet. On May 16, 2010, the Antioch student was attending a graduation party on Lakewood Circle in Smyrna. He died in the Trauma Center at Vanderbilt.
