A dumbbell theft was kind of dumb... The theft was reported at a local apartment complex that caught the incident on security video.

Apparently, a man and a woman entered the apartment workout room in Murfreesboro and loaded up trash bags with three sets of dumbbell's. One set weighed thirty pounds and two sets weighed twenty five pounds.

After placing the dumbbell's into trash bags, they were seen on video putting the weights into a white Ford Fusion. The tags returned to a Cainsville Pike address in Lascassas.

A man later spoke to staff at Play It Again Sports in Murfreesboro to ask about selling the weights. The man even gave his name and ID to the staff at the sports store.

Needless to say, police have the suspects name and what type of car a woman he was with was driving. They also have the females address in Lascassas.

At this point, charges have not been filed against the two who are accused of stealing the dumbbell's valued at $374.
