Kassandra McGhee Charged With Aggravated Arson

(MURFREESBORO)  43-year old Kassandra McGhee has been charged with aggravated arson by investigators from the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department. She is a suspect in a house fire that occurred on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 805 N. Highland Avenue. 

When firefighters arrived around 2:30 that afternoon, heavy smoke and flames were billowing from the structure.

They worked quickly to extinguish the fire.  In the process, a firefighter sustained minor injuries.  He was treated at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital and then released and returned to duty.

McGhee remains in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $36,000 bond. Her court date is set for December 7th in General Sessions Court.
