Dec 20, 2020 at 12:09 pm by WGNS

(MURFREESBORO)  Tis the season when persons pass counterfeit money.  Murfreesboro Police are hoping you can identify the man shown in this surveilance photo taken at the Exxon station on North Thompson Lane.

Police PIO Larry Flowers said, "The unidentified male reportedly passed a $20 counterfeit bill at the Exxon on December 13, 2020. The clerk checked the bill and realized it was counterfeit. The man pulled out a stack of money and paid with another twenty dollar bill. After leaving the store, the clerk found that bill to be a counterfeit as well."

If you have seen or can identify the person of interest, please contact Murfreesboro Police Detective Ray Daniels at 629-201-5512 or e-mail him at 0409@murfreesborotn.gov. Also, if you are a business person who feels this man has also passed counterfeit money to you, please contact Detective Daniels.
