LSD, Mushrooms and Ecstasy Recovered in a Murfreesboro Police Undercover Sting

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –  In an undercover operation headed by the Murfreesboro Police Department Special Investigation Narcotics Unit,  authorities were able to seize a variety of psychedelic drugs.

The drugs seized in the investigation included Molly, also known as Ecstasy, Magic Mushrooms and LSD. Authorities were also able to take at least one man into custody.

46-Year-old Orville Alphonso McKinley from Hermitage, Tennessee was charged with the possession of illegal drugs and mushrooms. The man is also facing three charges for selling Schedule I Narcotics.  He was taken into custody this past Thursday (Feb. 3, 2022) in the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot on Fortress Boulevard in Murfreesboro.

Detectives reported the seizure of one pound of psilocybin mushrooms (Magic Mushrooms), 65 doses of LSD, and approximately nine grams of Ecstasy (Molly).

The MPD says that their investigation is not over and will continue. Therefore, more arrests could be made in the near future.

Mr. McKinley was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on February 3rd and released on bond three days later this past Sunday (February 6, 2022). A hearing is set for March 28, 2022 in Rutherford County General Sessions Court.
