A May 16, 2017 murder case in Murfreesboro has come to a close. The man who murdered 18-year-old Kendrick Love was convicted in a Rutherford County Courtroom.

District Attorney Jennings Jones explains what happened nearly 5-years ago…

At the time, Jeremy Noah Soto-Morales was the only adult in the trio that met Love. The other two suspects were only 17-years-old. However, it was one of those two 17-year-olds that was convicted late last month for murdering Love. His name, TayShawn Patterson…

In the courtroom of Judge Jimmy Turner, Patterson was convicted by the jury…

Patterson was sentenced to life in prison on February 25, 2022.

Patterson will face the courts again for sentencing on the additional convictions that he received in February on May 25, 2022. He faces up to 47-years behind bars, on top of his “Life in Prison” sentence.
