Two Quick-Change Scams Net Over $5K

(MURFREESBORO)  Murfreesboro detectives need assistance identifying a person of interest in a quick change scam at two Walmart locations.

Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers said, “On March 18, 2022, an unidentified man completed a quick change at the Walmart on Joe B. Jackson Parkway.

Murfreesboro Police PIO Larry Flowers explained that the man was obtaining a Western Union money order for $5,000. With the transaction, the scammer was reportedly able to get about $3,000 back from the clerk.

The same day he is alleged to have completed another quick change at Walmart on S. Rutherford Boulevard. Reports indicate that approximately $2,700 was scammed.
