(MURFREESBORO)  Memorial Boulevard was experiencing grid-lock traffic shortly before 6:00 o'clock Mondayt evening. Suddenly, the sound of tires screeching and a crash as a vehicle was rear-ended while stopping to turn into a restaurant.

The almost instant stop caused the airbags to deploy and some were complaining of pain.

Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue were the first paramedics on the scene, so they assisted until Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services was on-the-scene. It was determined that no one needed to be transported to the ER.

However, both vehicles sustained significant damage.

Murfreesboro Police encourage motorists to always give themselves plenty of room and time to safely make an emergency stop, and if you are pulling into a business to get off the main roadway as quickly as possible.
