(MURFREESBORO) Here's an update on the fatal two-vehicle crash that killed 30-year old Brittany Cole of Murfreesboro. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. The accident occured around 2:30AM Saturday (7/30/2022) morning on Memorial Blvd. at Mapco near Clark Boulevard.

Brittany Cole Dies At the Scene

Flowers explained that the preliminary investigation shows Ryder was traveling north on Memorial in his 2017 Toyota Tundra pick-up truck and collided into the driver’s side of a 2007 Saturn Ion, driven by Cole.  Cole was attempting to make a left turn out of the Mapco parking lot.  The truck then rolled over.

Cole was trapped inside her car.  Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue's emergency responders used hydraulic equipment to free her.  Firefighters and Rutherford County Emergency Services personnel began medical care before Cole was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Brittany Cole was wearing a seatbelt, but Robert Ryder was not.
