MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Murfreesboro Police have solved a nearly four-year-old homicide cold case with the arrest of two local men this week. Violent Crimes Unit detectives and the Special Operations Unit took Jaylen Walston and Jayden Surine into custody early Thursday morning.
Walston and Surine are currently held on $500,000 bond each at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. They are expected in Circuit Court for a hearing on June 17.

(MURFREESBORO) Here's an update on the early Saturday morning shooting on John R. Rice Boulevard. 22-year old Micah Robinson died as a result of the tragic incident.
Around 3:10 early Saturday morning, Murfreesboro Police answered a "shots fired" call to 131 John R. Rice Boulevard, that's auto glass store next to Sam's. The preliminary investigation shows Robinson was walking along John R. Rice when the occupants in a dark-colored sedan drove by and started shooting at him.
Police found Robinson in the parking lot with multiple serious gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began aid until Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived and took over medical care.
Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD) Criminal Investigations Division (CID) homicide detectives identified the victim in this weekend’s fatal shooting as 22-year-old Micah Robinson. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and the public is not in any danger.
Robinson was rushed to the ER at Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and later flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center by LifeFlight. He died after undergoing surgery.
Detectives are working to develop suspects and a motive.
