Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with Murfreesboro NAACP President David Settles, MLK Parade Coordinator Shawn Brown and Blackman High School Junion DeShawn Rogers share memories of Dr. King's life and how today's activities will help to keep the Civil Rights leader alive. 

• 9AM-4PM DISCOVERY CENTER (502 SE Broad St.) with a FREE DAY of events honoring Dr. King. 
• 11:00AM Arrive at Central Magnet School and register to be in the MLK Parade. 
• Noon:  parade leaves Central Magnet, travels E. Main toward MTSU and turns right onto Middle TN Blvd., goes to Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and turns right, and goes to the pavillion at the Patterson Community Center. 
• MLK Tribute program at the Patterson Community Center (outdoor pavillion, 521 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.).
