(La VERGNE, TN)  A non-profit organization that aims to help people celebrate Memorial Day is making a stop in La Vergne this year.

Everyone is invited to join Carry the Load for a community fellowship and a show of support for our veterans, service members and first responders. The rally in La Vergne will be at 6:00 o'clock Saturday night (5/20/2023) at the La Vergne City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road.

Interested participants are encouraged to meet at the La Vergne Post Office on Murfreesboro Road at 4:15PM this coming Saturday afternoon. To register a team go to the Carry the Load website: www.carrytheload.org.

Carry the Load makes stops in cities along a 2,000 mile cross-country route and has a mission to unite Americans in a walk to honor those who have fallen – veterans, law enforcement, fire fighters, rescue, citizens and volunteers – to carry the load for those who have and those who can no longer.
