EVENT: Independence Day - A patriotic ceremony commemorating the 247th anniversary of America's Independence will be held at the Rutherford County courthouse lawn in Murfreesboro on Tuesday July 4, at 11:00 AM. This year it is presented by the Stones River Chapter of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). A reading of the Declaration of Independence will be included, and the chapter Color Guard will be presenting the flags in colonial period attire. Free, open to the public. All ages welcome.
