RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - A man who shot a woman in the face on Interstate 24 in Rutherford County two years ago was convicted in court late last month. The shooting occurred at the 76 mile marker, which is the Medical Center Parkway exit in Murfreesboro.
Assistant District Attorney Trevor Lynch told WGNS the victim was shot in the head on March 6, 2021... Ms. (Rickiya) Compton was 19 at the time of the shooting.
Keyonn Warfield was tracked down by Rutherford County Detectives shortly after the shooting, thanks to the help of an eye witness... That witness told WGNS...
22-Year-old Warfield appeared in court late last month... Again, Warfield plead guilty to attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault.
