Wanda Sue Hill, age 78, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024. She was preceded in
death by her husband, James A. Hill; and parents, Edward H. and Marie Carney.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Sharrock and Carol Tomlinson and her
husband Jeff; grandchildren, Amanda, Casey, Cody, Hannah, and James; great
grandchildren, Casin, Coralie, Peyton, Pierce, Hunter Rose, and Elijah; brother, Harold
Carney and his wife Linda; and many other family and friends.

Ms. Wanda was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and a retired certified nursing
assistant. She spent the earlier part of her career working for Vanderbilt Neonatal
Department and Vanderbilt neonatal ambulance Angel One then finished her career in
private practice. Even after retirement her joy of caring for others continued as she
served for Meals on Wheels and First United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed
painting, baking, and spending time with her grandbabies and beloved four-legged
companions.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 PM at
Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at
Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
