MORE INFORMATION:
We are asking for your assistance in helping to recognize the special needs children of our Rutherford County high schools. As a fellow resident of Rutherford County, I find it an honor to help our community locally and the surrounding counties of middle Tennessee. I am on the Board of a Not-For-Profit called the “The Every Kid is a Hero Foundation”, www.everykidisahero.org. Our mission is to encourage the special needs children of our communities and raise funds for the classrooms that are helping to facilitate their personal growth. This year we are working with the Rutherford County Board of Education to encourage and celebrate our local children. We are hosting an “Every Kid is a Hero” day at Stewarts Creek High School on April 10,2024 with a potential rain out day of April 11, 2024. On this day we will be hosting a day of activities to bring excitement to our high school special needs children of Rutherford County. Donations raised will be used to provide the following items at this event and after:
For the Students:
- A cape and mask to each student
- An individualized comic book where each student will be the hero of their storyline
- A Field Day to bring celebration and cohesiveness to our students
For Teachers, EAs and Volunteers:
- An equal donation to each special needs classroom which will be presented in total at the “Every Kid is a Hero” day and provided directly in the following weeks after the event
- A T-Shirt for each Teacher, EA, 1 to 1 Buddy and Volunteer at the event
We are seeking corporate sponsors that would like to partner and assist with this program through donations for our “Every Kid is a Hero” day; as well as those that have an interest in donating volunteers to keep this program running annually in our county. I plan on reaching out in the next two weeks for your potential interest in our 501(c)3 program. While we definitely have a need for your monetary support in this year's event in Rutherford county, we are also searching for corporate sponsors that may also be willing to provide man power in annual events moving forward. With success in this first year in Rutherford county, we hope to provide this event to our county every year. If you feel that your company or any friends that you know would be willing to help with future events, please let me know.
