Dr. Dan Rudd talks about COVID and medical issues of spring and summer:

     Reduce COVID problems:

  • Increase levels of vitamin D. Ask your physician to check your levels of vitamin D, when they do your annual physical. It should be in the 50-75 range. Not only does this reduce cases of COVID, but they have fewer cases of cancer.
  • Increase your intake of ZINC (no higher than 40 mg/day)
  • Need natural infra-red light. Get this from being outside in mornings and late afternoon.  Your risk to the dangerous sun exposure is at those times. Also, having leaves on trees is when you have fewer cancer causing sun exposure. (NOTE: you can use infra-red light or pads (use pads 4-5 times weekly). The level of these artificial infra-red sources should be in the 650-850 nm level)
  • EXERCISE: during the COVID years gyms closed and we stopped exercising. Go back to exercising--even walking is a great exercise. In addition, water aerobics and yoga are good programs to follow.
  • INCREASING AGE: as we get older, our immune systems often weaken. EXERCISE helps to increase the stregth of your immune system.
