In Murfreesboro, the farmers’ market at the ag center operates as a producer-only market exclusively accommodating farmers from the Middle Tennessee region. Vendors hail from over a dozen counties, converging at the ag center on John R. Rice Blvd to set up their stands and booths within the indoor/open-air Community Center at the Lane Agri-Park. While the grand reopening is scheduled for May 10th, subsequent weeks will see the market open every Tuesday and Friday from 7 AM to Noon.

A diverse array of in-season fruits, vegetables, flowers, and shrubbery will be available at the Farmers' Market, along with offerings of meats, eggs, baked goods, and canned goods from select vendors. Beginning May 10th, the market will operate every Tuesday and Friday from 7 AM to Noon, offering customers the convenience of payment via cash, credit cards, debit cards, and EBT cards. Additionally, during July and August, many visiting farmers will accept WIC Farmers’ Market Vouchers.

WIC, which stands for Women, Infants, and Children, is a program offered by the State of Tennessee aimed at providing supplemental food assistance and nutrition education to low-income residents.

Special informative sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays at the market. The "Come & Go" sessions will focus on a variety of topics to include everything from the "Smart Yards Program," to learning about heat related illnesses. Artisan Fridays are also back.

Long-time Agriculture Extension Agent Mitchell Mote also highlighted a new addition to their Friday line-up this year…Visit the Lane Agri Park to learn more about the special artisan vendor section, which will be open at the Friday market throughout the season. Again, the Farmers' Market will run from May 10, 2024 through the end of October.
