Mrs. Irene Baynok Cutler, age 94, formerly of St. Joseph, MI passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in her sleep in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born on January 14, 1930 in Clairton, PA to the late Joseph and Maria Hustak Baynok, immigrants from Slovakia. Mrs. Cutler met the love of her life, Dr. Warren Gale Cutler, following his service in WWII in Europe. They were longtime residents of St. Joseph, MI with numerous friends made through Whirlpool Corp., St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Berrien Hills Country Club.
Mrs. Cutler lived a full life. She was the consummate wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church volunteering endless hours of service, decorating the church for holidays, and caring for its garden. Mrs. Cutler loved to cook, sew, knit, garden, play bridge, and explore new crafting projects. She was involved with many local charities and organizations in St. Joseph, remained active playing tennis and golf, and enjoyed world travel.
Mrs. Cutler is survived by her children, David Alan Cutler and his wife Jill, Brian Scott Cutler and his wife Linda, Larry Paul Cutler and his wife Muffy, and Melanie Sue Lavery and her husband Carl; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Weaver, Erin Christian Cutler, Stephanie Gail Prellwitz, Immanuel Elias Lavery, Inez Romy Lavery, and Saul William Lavery; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Warren Gale Cutler, and three sisters, Margaret Gregan, Ann Sonnett, and Helen Sidone.
The family would like to thank all of those who made Mrs. Cutler’s last weeks comfortable, particularly the teams at Adam’s Place and Caris Hospice.
