Matthew Darrell Nixon, age 51, passed away October 28, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Lebanon and lived in Rutherford County.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Huel Nixon and Gracie Hughes Nixon. He is survived by his brother, Stephen Nixon; sister, Nancy (Kevin) Thomas; nephews, Kyle Thomas of Murfreesboro, Dylon (Alyson) Thomas of Austin, TX; great nieces, Layla Thomas and Ella Thomas of Murfreesboro; and fiancé, Lisa Gott..

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery with Lenny Farmer officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
