Wilma Dean Smith, our beloved mother, passed away Wednesday evening, March 12, 2025 at the age of 85. She was a woman filled with love and compassion for others, always putting the needs of her family and friends before her own. Wilma Dean was born in Cannon County, TN on January 28, 1940 to her parents of Jimmy Hall Mears and Beulah Merriman Mears. She was a member of Barfield Baptist Church. She was a cornerstone of integrity, generosity, and hard work and will be deeply missed by her children, William Tony Ivie and spouse Rosalyn and Robert Darrell Ivie and spouse Vickie. In addition her grandchildren, Christopher, Jasmine, Zachary and Nicholas Ivie as well as her great grandkids, Winry Belle and Bonnie Dean Ivie.

We will forever cherish her memories of her dry wit, vast vocabulary and sharp memory.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until time of 3:00 PM chapel service, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Ron Byers officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
