The cemetery, located at 739 NW Broad St. behind Haynes Lumber, honors Revolutionary War veteran Captain William Lytle, who donated land for the founding of Murfreesboro.

The site has hosted numerous ceremonies by the DAR and SAR over the years.

With America commemorating its 250th anniversary, the SAR is calling on the community to support restoration efforts.
