Not too many people spend $5,000 or more at Walmart in a single shopping trip. So, you would think such an incident would raise the eyebrows of a clerk and maybe set off some red flags of sorts. Well, not the case here…
Police are investigating a case that dates back to May 23rd when two men entered the store and purchased ten (10) $500 “gift cards.” The men also bought 3 iPads and a Toshiba laptop computer. The total spent was $8,186.
The transaction was later determined to be fraudulent and the credit card used to make the buy was stolen. The theft was caught on camera and police hope the video will help them identify the subjects that made their cameo role at the Walmart on Old Fort Parkway.
So far, an arrest has not been made.
