Kathleen "Kathy" Zimmerman, age 72, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on April 12, 1953, in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Ver Voort and her step-father, Stanley Holcomb.

Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was also a longstanding member of Grace Lutheran Church. Despite her insurmountable health struggles, her faith in the Lord's promise remained steadfast to the very end.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Allen "Al" Zimmerman; her three sons: Adam Zimmerman and wife (Natalie) of Montrose, Colorado, Corey Zimmerman and wife (Heather) of Savannah, Georgia, and Brandon Zimmerman and wife (Mallory) of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren: Ellah, River, Piper, Hudson, Myla and Zoey; her mother, Marjorie Holcomb of Appleton, Wisconsin; three sisters: Connie Gonnering and husband (Richard) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Amy DeYoung and husband (Joe) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Sally Heenan and husband (Tom) of Appleton, Wisconsin; brother, Dan Kegel and wife (Jill) of Appleton, Wisconsin. She will also be remembered by numerous other family members and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapels.
