• TN Comptroller Jason Mumpower issued warning to Rutherford County before the Commission Meeting (10/16/2025) re:1 of 4 property assessments are riddled with errors, and recommended the County to underwrite a full independent audit of the 130,000 parcels in the county. The square footage on residences was sometimes too much and others too little--some buldings as well as townhouses were totally left off the tax rolls for various amounts of time. The bills would be paid by tax dollars. 
• Cost of living increases for homes, food, everything is puting the South more in line with other regions of the USA. What can be done?
• Rutherford County will close in mid-December, 2025 on the purchase of the old Bank of America building on E. Main at Spring St. for the agreed offer of $9.2-million. The county is in the programming phase of the purchase.
