James “Brother James” Gafford, age 86 of La Vergne died Sunday November 23, 2025, at his home. He was a native of Ashland City, TN and was preceded in death by his wife Carol Gafford who died in 2020.

He is survived by two sisters Sherrie Tibbetts, and husband Rick and Carolyn Williams, and husband Hugh. Brother-in-law, Alexander Arthur and wife Clarissa and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday December 4th 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will Friday December 5th 10:00 AM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Interment will follow in Christ Church Memorial Gardens.
