4th Annual CFRC Rodeo

The rodeo, a significant fundraiser for the Community Foundation, is scheduled for March 6 and 7, 2026, at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum.

• Impact: The Community Foundation acts as a "savings account" for the community, vetting and distributing funds to local nonprofits through a discretionary grant process.

• Expansion: Founded approximately eight years ago by Steve Flatt, CEO of National HealthCare Corporation (NHC), the foundation has grown to provide about 27.7% of its intake back to the community, exceeding the 5% required for public foundations.

• Event Details:

  • Management: The event is managed by Lone Star Rodeo Company from Crofton, Kentucky.

  • Sponsorship: This year features a record 57 sponsors, including Rollins Excavating, NHC, TDK, and Middle Tennessee Infrastructure.

  • Attendance: Doors open at 5:30 PM, with activities starting at 6:00 PM and the rodeo at 7:00 PM.

Cabin Fever Beer Fest

Jonathan Harmon from Cedar Glade Brews discussed the Cabin Fever Beer Fest, taking place this Saturday, February 28, 2026, on Ridgley Road in Murfreesboro.

• Participation: The festival features 30 breweries from across Tennessee and Georgia, including local favorites like Cedar Glade, Middle Ground, and Common John, as well as newcomers like Smackdab.

• Charity: The event benefits Read To Succeed, supporting literacy programs in Rutherford County.

• Activities:

  • Schedule: VIP entry at 11:00 AM, general admission at Noon, and the event concludes at 4:00 PM.

  • Entertainment: Features food trucks (Bomme, Mamoosh’s Kitchen, Trash Dogs, and Tennessee Craft Butcher), a log carver, and an inflatable cigar lounge.

  • After Party: An after-party with musician Joey Fletcher begins at 4:20 PM in the taproom.
