Henry the horse is doing much better today. You may be a little confused as to what we are talking about and who has a horse named Henry?

The Ferrell Hollow Farm is a Senior Horse Sanctuary that takes in horses that are lacking the proper care. Some of their horses have been abandoned and others were about to be slaughtered, prior to their arrival to the farm in beautiful Readyville.

Take Henry the Horse for example… Henry was adopted by the Sanctuary in May. Henry is an aged Belgian draft horse in his mid to late 30?s. We are told that he worked hard for humans his entire life and has the scars to prove it. Henry’s thanks for service was from his previous owners was to take him to auction which often leads to a road of slaughter. The caregivers in Readyville intervened brought him to their sanctuary to retire in peace.

There are numerous Henry the horse type stories to be told but unfortunately, the farm in Readyville does not have enough funding to care for every horse that is in need of care right now. That being said, we ask that you visit their website to learn how you can help. The link to their site is available through WGNSradio.com or by visiting http://ferrellhollowfarm.org/.
