RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS) - Local middle school sports have crossed the finish line for the 2025-2026 season with Oakland and Stewarts Creek Middle Schools leading the pack. These two athletic powerhouses dominated the final standings to secure their spots as this year's big winners.
The Oakland Middle Chargers took home the Boys All Sports Trophy and the Overall All Sports Trophy. Oakland finished the year with 39 points, holding off a late push from Stewarts Creek and Siegel who tied for second place with 35 points each.

In the girls division, Stewarts Creek Middle surged ahead to claim the trophy with 22 points. The Lady Falcons used strong performances in basketball and soccer to beat out Oakland’s 19 points. =
On the boys' side, Oakland’s 20 points kept them comfortably ahead of a three-way tie for second between Blackman, Rock Springs, and Stewarts Creek.
Points are earned throughout the year based on regular season and tournament finishes in sports like football, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball.
This year's win for Oakland marks a repeat performance in the boys and overall categories from last season.
The program, sponsored by WGNS Primetime Sports and Winners' Trophies, highlights the consistent success of student-athletes across the county.
