Again this year, Little Caesars and WGNS Primetime Sports are awarding a girls, a boys and an overall ALL SPORT TROPHY to middle schools in the Rutherford County Schools system. Points are awarded for places one through four in the regular season. In the event of ties, we will award points based on the sports tiebreaker (which is different for each sport). The 1-4 tournament seedings for the sports' tournament will be used. The points will be awarded based on season ending overall league record of teams combined. Points this year will be awarded for the champion and runner up in county tournaments / championship games. Points are awarded in football, girls and boys basketball, girls and boys soccer, softball, baseball and volleyball. A school gets four points for first, three points for second, two points for third and one point for fourth in each of the eight sports that all schools have. We will keep you updated on the contests on this website as each season finishes. The first points will be awarded when football winds up in late October.
