MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS News) - Arthur D'Andrea Moore, the individual apprehended for the alleged second-degree murder of his former girlfriend, is slated to face a Rutherford County Judge later this month. Reviewing the timeline of the incident, emergency dispatchers received a call concerning a deceased female during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 19, 2026. Scroll down for more photos.

Medical personnel and Murfreesboro Police officers immediately responded to 135 Fairfax Drive, a mobile home community located off Memorial Blvd (Highway 231 North), near the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center. Emergency crews arrived to evaluate what was originally reported as an unresponsive victim.

Rutherford County District Attorney General Jennings Jones told WGNS news... The prosecutor verified that 35-year-old Kaitlyn Allen succumbed to fatal injuries she sustained.

In the ensuing hours of dispatch receiving the initial call, Violent Crimes detectives determined the circumstances surrounding the tragedy were indicative of a homicide. The lead investigator then turned his attention on Ms. Allen's ex-boyfriend as a person of interest. As the inquiry intensified, officials publicly identified the 33-year-old Moore as the primary suspect... Following a thorough interrogation and the collection of evidence from his residence, the accused was transferred to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office for formal processing.

Judicial documentation indicates that an authorized criminal warrant charging Moore with Ms. Allen's death was filed three days after law enforcement discovered the body. These legal instruments serve as written mandates to justify an accused individual's ongoing detention. Moore has remained incarcerated since the morning after the deadly shooting.

According to official filings, the defendant resides at the Vintage Gateway Apartments in Murfreesboro, located near Medical Center Parkway and Robert Rose Drive. This complex sits approximately 6.5 miles south of the Fairfax Drive mobile home site where the crime occurred.

Moore possesses a history with law enforcement involving multiple arrests and convictions. Documentation reveals that four years and ten days to the day of Ms. Allen's death, Moore was taken into custody on a domestic assault charge. In that March 9, 2022 incident, Moore was found guilty, receiving an 11-month and 29-day sentence, which was mostly suspended in favor of supervised probation. The court mandated a 12-hour anger management course as part of his plea, though files do not confirm if he completed the required class.

The defendant is next scheduled to appear before Rutherford County General Sessions Judge Ben Bennett for a preliminary hearing on June 23, 2026. The judicial date was originally set for June 9, but was later deferred to the end of the month.

According to recent data compiled by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) in their annual Domestic Violence in Tennessee report, intimate partner violence remains an ongoing threat. In 2024, the TBI documented 60,635 domestic violence reports statewide. The overwhelming majority of those affected—70.79%—were female, and the most common relationship dynamic noted in these offenses was boyfriend/girlfriend, accounting for 37.71% of all cases.
