MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Drivers traveling through Murfreesboro’s medical district should expect delays after a traffic signal at Medical Center Parkway and Arnhart Drive was knocked out of service. Scroll down to see larger Map, as Released by the City of Murfreesboro.
The damaged signal is located near Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, one of the busiest areas for medical traffic in the city. Officials said the light is expected to remain out of operation for an extended period of time.
Murfreesboro Police Department officers are directing vehicles through the area while city traffic officials work to manage congestion around the intersection.
Arnhart Drive has been closed at Medical Center Parkway, and access to the hospital entrance on the south side of Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford is limited. Drivers are still allowed to make right turns into the hospital entrance, but left turns out of the facility are restricted to emergency vehicles only.
Motorists are urged to use caution, slow down and follow the directions of officers while traveling near Medical Center Parkway and Arnhart Drive.
