Smyrna Ready Mix, known throughout the country as SRM Concrete, held the ribbon cutting for their beautiful new headquarter office earlier this week. The new building can be seen by motorist on I-840 at the West Jefferson Pike interchange.
SRM Concrete serves a variety of businesses throughout the country and was founded in Smyrna, Tennessee by Melissa and Mike Hollingshead in 1999.
Looking back to their humble beginnings, the company was formed out of a need - - because the Hollingshead’s could not find a local ready-mix company that offered reliable customer service. With that in mind and with very little money on hand, they decided to create Smyrna Ready Mix. At the time, they owned three trucks, which were the trucks that helped them start their business in their own back yard on Hickory Grove Road in Murfreesboro.
The company known today as SRM Concrete has grown exponentially and has added more than 4,000 employees in 13 different states.
SRM Concrete is in the following states; Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, South Carolina, Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Again, the company that was built from humble beginnings with the idea of offering exceptional customer service, is now in their brand-new corporate office directly off of I-840 at West Jefferson Pike.
