A woman who was told not to be on the Motel 6 property, but was staying in a room anyway, told police that she knew she was not supposed to be there. However, she told officers that she used a friends I.D. to check in. Officers actually found her at the nearby Holiday Inn where she said she went to get breakfast, which is free for guest.

Police asked to search the phone belonging to Angela N. Stacey and she agreed to hand it over to the officer. In the report, Officer Cory Schalburg wrote, "I immediately found multiple text messages of the sale of narcotics." The officer then asked to search her hotel room at Motel 6.

Inside the room police found a ledger that contained information about who she sold pills to and how many pills each person bought. When detectives arrived she admitted to selling Xanax pills. There were also text messages and Facebook messages showing where Ms. Stacey was selling Xanax, Adderall and Suboxone.

Police seized over $800 in cash that was in the suspect's possession after she admitted that "some" of the money was from dealing pills. Her phone and the ledger were also seized for evidence.

Felony charges for illegal drug sales were bumped up in class due to the proximity of the hotel to the Old Fort Academy Day Care Center.

Stacey was booked under a $26,000 bond and will appear in court on January 21, 2016.
