A man was said to have gotten sideways in his car as he was turning from one street to another and then almost striking a pedestrian, all in front of a police officer. The incident was reported in the area of University Street.

You may be curious as to what kind of vehicle was capable of getting sideways on such narrow streets in the downtown Murfreesboro area? To satisfy your curiosity, it was a 2002 Buick sedan. No, not exactly a race car.

The report shows that when the subject pulled over for police he had bloodshot eyes and an odor of alcohol. Needless to say, 27-year old Gregory D. Perry was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, DUI, resisting arrest and driving on a suspended license for a third time.

Perry will be in court on July 30th.
